RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a web technology that allows users to track updates without the need to visit a website, but using an RSS reader (like the free
Google Reader for instance) to track the RSS feeds the site offers. It's very usefull if you visit a lot of websites and don't have time to browse all of them regulary because you can read all of theirs new content in the same web or desktop application window categorized by different feeds. Besides saving the time needed to browse the web sites, it also saves your bandwidth because it only loads the content needed and not the web site graphics. When you find something interesting via RSS, you can view it at it original website using a simple click on the article title, or the "read more" link so you don't have to search for it manually.
